Artists Biography

Abou Matar, Joumana is a Lebanese artist. She studied art in Italy. She is a poet and a writer, and has been painting for more than 20 years. She has enjoyed nine solo exhibitions and has participated in 31 exhibitions in Lebanon and abroad, including exhibitions organized in Rome and Russia. Alam, Sylvie is a Lebanese artist. She has been an art student for 10 years, studying through private lessons. She has participated in several exhibitions across Lebanon, including exhibitions organized at UNESCO, Forum de Beyrouth, Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU), through its Marian Studies Center (MSC), and abroad (USA).	Bou Assi, Akram is a Lebanese artist and an art student at the Lebanese University. He has studied art since the age of 12 in Fabriano. He also has participated in several exhibitions across Lebanon, including exhibitions organized at UNESCO and Expo Aley (five years running), and abroad, including exhibitions in Turkey.

Boulos, Simone is a Lebanese artist (Lebanese University). She studied art for four years under the supervision of Bernard Renno.	Choueity Saikali, Mountaha is a Lebanese artist. She studied art at Saint Coeur School. She has been painting for more than 25 years. She has enjoyed several solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous exhibitions in Lebanon and abroad, including exhibitions in Mexico, Qatar, Russia, Egypt, and Switzerland. Ghanem, Joseph is a Lebanese artist. He studied art in 1973 at the Lebanese University. Haddad, Mary is a Lebanese painter who studies under the supervision of Bernard Renno at Vestige d’Orient in Lebanon. The exhibition commemorating the Lebanese Aboard the Titanic at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants’ Diaspora Energy Conference was her first exhibit.	Haroun Abou Samah, Lolita is a Lebanese artist. She studied art under the supervision of Bernard Renno. She has participated in several exhibitions across Lebanon as well as exhibitions organized in the KSA.	Jbeily, Nathalie is a Lebanese artist. She has been studying art since 2003 under the supervision of Bernard Renno. She has participated in several exhibitions and symposiums across Lebanon and abroad, including the KSA and Mexico. During the Lebanese civil war, she was injured in 1983 and lost sensation in all the extremities of her body. She found relief and got a new lease on life through art and painting. She attended the Michelangelo School of Fine Arts and graduated with honors. Her work predominantly revolves around heritage, culture, and tradition as well as Lebanese villages and scenery. Radwan, Ghinwa is a Lebanese artist. She has been painting since the age of 10. She is a graphic and fashion designer. She has participated in several exhibitions across Lebanon (more than 30), including exhibitions organized at UNESCO and Biel, and abroad, including France, Greece, Egypt, KSA, Qatar, and the UAE.	Renno, Bernard graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), and a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from the Michelangelo Academy of Arts in Beirut, Lebanon. He also holds a Diploma in Plastic Arts and History of Art from the Michelangelo Academy of Fine Arts in Sodeco, Lebanon. He currently serves as Cultural Advisor to the Consulate General of the Republic of Latvia to Lebanon and also is Director of the Michelangelo Academy of Arts and Member of the Jury in the Syndicate of Professional Artists in Lebanon. He is the owner and founder of Vestiges d’Orient Atelier D’Art, which he established in 1985. Today, Vestiges d’Orient has two offices: one in Gemayzeh and the other in Dbayeh. Renno is a Member of the International Association of Plastic Arts, and a Member of the Lebanese Artists Association for Painting and Sculpture. He has organized more than 230 live shows and symposiums both in Lebanon and abroad. Waked, Léa is a Lebanese artist. She studied art for four years under the supervision of artist Nataly Jbeily. She has participated in several exhibitions across Lebanon, including exhibitions organized at the Forum de Beyrouth, Art of Living, Hippodrome, and Governmental Palace.	Zammar, Jean is a Lebanese artist. He studied art under the supervision of Assaad Renno at the Academy of Michelangelo in Zahle, Lebanon. He has been painting for almost 40 years now. He has participated in several exhibitions and symposiums across Lebanon.	Mouchantaf, Bassam sees himself an amateur, but according to artist Alfred Basbous, he has talent that will no doubt make him an artist. After working in obscurity for many years, he was finally discovered and recognized by his village, Abra, through a Facebook post, which honored his talent. The post went viral, and as a result, he was interviewed on many occasions, and his works were featured in local and regional newspapers, and magazines.
