This book sheds light on the most prominent, effective and feasible solutions that pave the way to the establishment of a water and agricultural policy capable of serving the Lebanese citizen and providing him with a good standard of living. It contains a rich kaleidoscope of shared knowledge, experience and aspirations from different local and international academic and official parties, all of whom reiterated the importance of water as a primary element in achieving both food and national security. Accordingly, all participants agreed on the necessity of establishing a tight cooperation between all competent authorities in order to fast-track the implementation of an appropriate scientific and practical vision leading to the good management of the water in Lebanon. هذا الكتاب يضيء على أبرز الحلول الفعّالة والممكنة، التي تتيح وضع سياسة مائيّة وزراعيّة قادرة على خدمة الانسان اللبنانيّ في إنتاجيّته وعيشه الكريم. ففيه خبرات وتطلّعات من غير جهة أكاديميّة ورسميّة محليّة أو خارجيّة أو دوليّة، أكّدت جميعها أنّ المياه عامل أوّليّ، ليس لتحقيق الأمن الغذائيّ فحسب، بل الأمن القوميّ أيضًا. ولذلك، تلاقى المشاركون على وجوب التعاون الحثيث بين مختلف الجهات المعنيّة لوضع موضع التنفيذ السريع الرؤيا العلميّة العمليّة المناسبة، التي تؤول إلى حسن إدارة المياه في لبنان، لئلّا يقع فريسة الجفاف بعد ليس أكثر بكثير من عشر سنوات.
