أراد المطران أنطوان حميد موراني، من خلال هذا الكتاب، أن يشرح ويفسّر الأقسام المختلفة للقدّاس المارونيّ ودور كلّ قسم في قيادة الفرد نحو طريق فهم السرّ الإلهيّ والإعجاب به. بالنسبة للكاتب، لا يمكن للإنسان أن يفهم الله فقط من خلال عقله، بل عليه أن يتبع إلهام الروح القدس ليتعمّق في إيمانه وإعجابه بالله. هكذا يصبح القدّاس تجسيدًا للحياة الإلهيّة من أجلنا، وفي تاريخنا. يقسم الكتاب إلى خمسة أقسام وفق هيكليّة القدّاس المارونيّ: (1) القسم الإعداديّ المشترك، (2) خدمة اليوم (قدّاس القيامة والأحد العاديّ)، (3) القراءات، (4) ما قبل النافور، (5) نافور الاثني عشر.

Bishop Antoine Hamid Mourani has written this book to explain and interpret the different parts of the Maronite Mass, and their role in taking the person on the path to the understanding and admiration of the great mystery of God. For the author, man cannot understand God with his mind alone; rather, he has to follow the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in deepening further his faith and his admiration of God. Thus, the Mass becomes the personification of divine life for our sake and in our history. The book is divided into five parts, following the structure of the Maronite Mass: (1) the common preparatory, (2) the daily service (Easter and Sunday Mass), (3) the readings, (4) the pre-Anaphora, and (5) the Anaphora of the Twelve Apostles.
